here's a thought... wanna live in France? How about learning their language?
2 :
Not true. A lot of french understand and speak english because they start studying english as a second language in jr high school. I suggest you do learn some basic french ..... French people do not like foreign who don't make the effort to speak a minimum of french in their country.
3 :
I could be wrong, but I suspect that English speakers are less likely to speak French than the French are to speak English.
4 :
Yep. And the majority of American/UK people couldn't understand French, too. And someone that speaks English can just ignore you and pretend not to speak - "if you are going to France, at least learn the French idiom", they (and I) say. To study foreign languages in the school don't make anybody speak that language. For example, I didn't learn English in the school, but studying by myself (I'm Brazilian).

They teach English in public schools so at least those that attend know the basics. However if your planning on living in France I suggest you start studying the language now. If you go, you're going to be in a different culture environment with a different language other then English. If you're uncomfortable with that just stay home.

Need some advice on my HIV status

Need some advice on my HIV status?
I had unprotected sex with a girl a couple of weeks ago. I asked her later if she is infected. She is a Nurse trainee student here in France and is currently doing her internship in a hospital. She said that she has been tested and is sure that she is negative. Should I take her word on this? Please help, I'm freaking out.

Only one way to find out. Unfortunately, you're in the window period anyway if you were infected, the only thing you can really do is wait it out for 3 months and go get tested. Til then, use condoms (after that would be ideal as well).
2 :
do you suspect anything and if so, why
3 :
You need to go to the doctor if you want to know your status, no one on here can help you

I can only give you advice: Find happiness in your journey, not in what you expect to find at the end of the road. In other words, do what is going to make you happy now and the rest will fall into place.
2 :
ALWAYS do what makes you the happiest! You can always change your career down the road if something comes up that you dont like your current one as well as you thought you would.
3 :
I think you should pursue the artistic side you so desire. YOUR PROBLEM IS THAT YOU'RE AN UNDISCIPLINED LITTLE SH!T!!! Oh boohoo, poor you... The only reason why a pauper's life is the destiny of most who persue an artistic future is because they, for the most part are lazy, undisciplined little KUDS. Learn proper grammar, which includes the proper use of apostrophe, school thyself in trope...and MAKE SOMETHING OF YOUR 'POOR ME' LIFE.

Should I study in Barcelona or Sydney

Should I study in Barcelona or Sydney?
I'm a US nursing student, finished two years (going for a bachelors), and I really want to study abroad, and definitely live/work abroad too. So I've narrowed it all down to either Barcelona or Sydney, two places on different ends of the earth, I know. I've caught up on some Spanish rather quickly, and I dont think learning it would be a problem at all. So for a 22 year old guy who likes sports, beaches, warm weather, museums, music, gamblng, girls (of course), travelling, and some occassional clubbing, which place do you think would be a better choice: Barcelona or Sydney? It's a tough decision for me. I keep hearing good things about both, plus Barcelona's in Europe right next to France and Italy while Sydney's got New Zealand and Fiji. Any help's really appreciated.

i'd have to say sydney! australia is an awsome country everyone is really friendly and there is always something to do it is a gorgeous country hope you find happiness there!
2 :
I would go for Sydney myself. You already know English fluently, so there wouldn't even be a langauage barrier (except possibly understanding the accents =D ). Though Barcelona sounds very exciting, I think that you would tire of it quickly; it may have the rest of Europe surronding it, but I personally think that Europe is more of a vacation spot, somewhere to visit periodically but not live there for long periods of time. I think you would have an easier time adapting to Sydney, and go on many adventures in the Outback.
3 :
are you nuts? sydney!!! beautiful tan girls, nice beaches....the english language! i think australia would be a different culture than the US, but also have enough similarities that would make you feel comfortable. europeans, especially in spain and france, are fairly anti-american. australian women are better looking too and have less crime and taxes than in europe.
4 :
Barcelona.
5 :
I LOVE Barcelona. Most beautiful city I've ever visited. But: in a week, I'm going for a semester abroad in Sydney, so I'm not decided.... However, at this point of time, I can really recommend Barcelona. It is so lovely.
6 :
I would choose Barcelona just because you would become proficient in Spanish by living there. This will be invaluable to you back here in the USA when you return.
